王鑫,男,工学博士,中国科学技术大学火灾科学国家重点实验室副研究员。长期致力于聚合物材料火灾安全设计及阻燃机理方面的研究。主持国家重点研发计划科技型中小企业项目、国家重点研发计划课题、国家自然科学基金面上项目等7项,入选欧盟“玛丽居里学者”、中科院青年创新促进会会员、爱思唯尔中国高被引学者、斯坦福大学全球前2%顶尖科学家。近年来发表第一/通讯作者SCI论文80余篇;SCI他引9500余次,H因子61。受邀撰写英文专著6部/章,授权中国发明专利12件;获国家自然科学二等奖(排名第三)1项、省部级奖励3项。

Owing to their excellent properties, such as lightweight and density, high strength and modulus, and good corrosion resistance, carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites (CFRPCs) have been extensively utilized in various applications including aerospace, automobiles, transportation and sporting goods. However, the recycling of CFRPCs is difficult because of their highly cross-linked networks. To overcome this problem, a series of furan-derived epoxy resin was synthesized from 5-hydroxymethylfurfural and cured with a furan-based curing agent. The cured system showed excellent flame retardancy and high mechanical properties. The cured system could dissolve in a mixed solution of THF:HCl (8:2, v/v). Furan-derived compounds can be utilized as versatile blockings for the fabrication of bio-based thermosetting polymers containing Schiff base structures. The presence of Schiff base structures enables it possible for the recycling of carbon fibers from these bio-based thermosetting polymers.
